Rose Marie (Rivers) Kempton

Rose Marie Kempton, age 89, of Danbury and formerly of Milford for many years, beloved wife of the late George F. Kempton Sr., passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Rose was born in Milford on December 15, 1932 to the late Walter Rivers Sr. and Rose Lewis Rivers. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening and loved dancing with her husband George. Rose was an active parishioner of Saint Gabriel Church for many years. Survivors include her children: Clifford J. Kempton (Rhonda) of FL and Eric E. Kempton (Lori) of Fairfield and Kathleen Henderson (David) of Lafayette, IN, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rose is predeceased by her son, George F. Kempton Jr., and brothers, Walter, James, John, and Thomas Rivers. Due to Covid, the burial will be private, and a Funeral Mass and Celebration of her Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
