Salvatore G Cappello

Salvatore G. Cappello, age 86, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Panda Cappello, died on Saturday March 26, 2022.  Salvatore was born in Milford on April 7, 1935 to the late Salvatore and Mary Cappello.  He grew up in Milford and was a proud US Navy Veteran.  Known as Al Warren, Salvatore was a renowned radio broadcaster at WICC, bringing joy to listeners across the state for over fifty years. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.  Survivors include his children: David Cappello, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Palm City, FL and James Cappello of Shelton, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews.  Salvatore is predeceased by four siblings. 

Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 31st from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Gabriel Church, Milford.  Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.  To share a memory, please go to www.gregoryfdoylefuneralhome.com
