Steven Bradley Rose

Steven Bradley Rose, age 75, beloved husband of 48 years to Sandra Ann (Wityak) Rose, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

He was born on June 17, 1948 in Bridgeport, and was the son of the late Cecil and Wanda (Phillips) Rose. Steve worked in environmental services for the past 18 years at Bridgeport Hospital, Milford Campus (Formerly Milford Hospital).

Steve was a devoted employee, who cherished his coworkers. He was a longtime resident of Milford and a proud veteran, having served honorably in the US Army from 1968 to 1970, after which he continued to serve in the US Army Reserve until 1974. He enjoyed fishing and bow hunting and adored his four rescue cats.

In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his devoted children, Daniel Steven Rose of Milford, Gina D. Wilkinson and her husband, Robert, his granddaughter, Stephanie Pertoso Mello and her husband, Kevin, of Ansonia, his brother, Sherman Rose, nephews Matthew Rose (Nicole), Patrick Rose (Kathy) of Milford and Christopher Rose (Laurie) of Wallingford and several grand nieces and nephews. His daughter, Lisa Pertoso predeceased him.

Friends and family are invited to greet the family on Thursday, October 19th from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 5:30 p.m.in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Steven.
