Mary Wall

Mary Wall, age 64, of Mahwah, NJ and formerly of Milford, CT, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at her home. Mary was born on February 14, 1951 in Bethlehem, PA and was the daughter of the late James V. and Mary (Cullen) Gibbons. She was an IT Specialist for the Teachers Retirement Systems in New York for many years.

One of eleven children, (although when she was younger she tried to convince her teacher she was an only child) her siblings include James Vincent (Linda) Gibbons, Jr. of Oxford, Patrick Gibbons of Ansonia, Martin (Maribeth) Gibbons of Marlton, NJ, Joseph (Maureen) Gibbons of Marlborough, MA., Sally (Wally) Rollins of Milford, Paul (Linda) Gibbons of Milford, Elaine Gibbons of Milford, Elizabeth (Art) McGregor of Lorton, VA, Robert (Carmen) Gibbons of Mauldin, SC, and Carol Gibbons of Greenville, SC wife of her predeceased brother, Thomas Gibbons.  Mary was also the beloved aunt to 30 nieces and nephews.   Mary leaves behind aunts and cousins as well as her former husband Bob Wall and many dear friends.  

 Mary’s positive outlook on life was infectious and touched each and every person who crossed her path.  Just being around her made you want to be a better person.  When Mary wasn’t making someone laugh with her sense of humor and wit, she was the person they turned to for advice on life, love, and everything in between.  Mary was also an active member of the Hiking Club in Mahwah, NJ and enjoyed traveling.

Family and friends may call Saturday, February 6th, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
