To my very special friend you will be greatly missed. Tom when God made you they threw away the mold. You were a man with integrity and had a big heart. I know you went through a lot and our now Safely Home at peace and not suffering any longer.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain,
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Each time I read your message I cry. I thank you for caring for him, for praying with him, and for giving him courage. He had courage, faith and so much love in his life. He is in the birds that fly in the trees, and dimes we find in the house, and cardinal that sit in the tree by the bedroom. I know he is with us all. Thank you again.

Tommy, TNT we called for short, (who later became our stepbrother) moved to our neighborhood on or before 1960. Along with his father Tom Sr. and his grandparents, (we always called as Nana & Pop). They lived in the 1st floor apt on the corner of Salem St.
We (the 3 Ciufo kids at the time): Rose, Ray, & Ang, lived diagonally across. Along with the D’Amore kids: Ricky, Patricia and Robert, who lived on the other corner we had a great little group of friends. Tommy was at our house for dinner nearly every day
Tommy went to parochial school and we all went to public school, but there were plenty of after school ball games, etc. He was among the oldest and got his license first. He drove a big Bonneville I think, and gave me lots of rides in that big car & even let me drive. We moved out of the street in a few years but Tommy and his father were visitors. Early in the 1970's our parents married.
I recall his high school graduation, & how he wanted to go to the original Woodstock. I remember how he and my brother Ray were both drafted during Vietnam. Luckily both were assigned stateside. I remember his wedding to his first wife Mary, and his oldest son Sean is slightly younger than my oldest Jennifer.
Sometime after Tom Sr. died, we lost touch in the 1990's but I still have plenty of fond memories of him.
My condolences go out to his entire family. He was a fun guy, with a kind heart and big smile.
